lolliposh seasonal consignment sale is here!

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Lolliposh seasonal consignment sale today when it kicked off for their spring sale! I'd never attended a Lolliposh sale before so I was excited to see what it was all about. The sale is being held in the Levin Gymnasium at the Soref JCC in Plantation (6501 W. Sunrise Boulevard). The gymnasium is huge and it was the perfect location because there was so much stuff! My second observation after noting just how much there was to browse was how clean everything was. I had to stop and ask a volunteer if people really kept their baby stuff this clean. I mean, certainly my kid couldn't be the only slob on the planet, right? (Sorry, Ethan. Mommy loves you!) The thing I was most skeptical about when heading over to Lolliposh was the condition of the items being sold. Kids are messy and the last thing I expected was a gymnasium full of absolutely pristine, beautiful baby and children's items. (I scored an amazing baby swing for Baby #2 that looks it just left the shelf at a retail store -- but, of course, at a fraction of the cost!)

The range of products sold was also incredible. There were the baby gear staples: bouncy seats, exersaucers, swings, pack and plays. Then there were the toys, the children's books, the outdoor play equipment, baby monitors, the foam tiles, the breast pumps, the baby food makers, the booster seats, high chairs, infant car seats, convertible car seats, bike seats, athletic equipment, chapter books, baby tubs, toddler beds, strollers -- and clothing. Clothing from newborn all the way to boys and girls XL. So much clothing!

I also loved the wide array of toys. There were toys with batteries and natural, wooden toys. There were blocks, Lego tables, anything you could even imagine. There was so much variety everywhere you looked that it definitely can take some time to look through everything! I even saw some new Pottery Barn Kids crib sheets and bedding, still in the original packaging, over on the kid's linen table. Such great finds!

Lolliposh runs through Sunday. The standard sale kicked off today and runs Friday (9:30-8:30) and Saturday (9:30-4). Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, for a fee of $10, you can start shopping the half-price sale. That means, yes, the marked items that have not yet sold will be available for half off! The half-off sale continues on Sunday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Even without the half price discount, the prices were surprisingly fair. As I was leaving, I noticed a beautiful Plasmacar for $20. (Just FYI, they retail for $70!) There were so many great deals throughout the store. I couldn't believe how many pairs of shoes were still new in the box, how many accessories and pieces of clothing still had tags, how many toys were still in the box -- and all for such a great deal! I admitted to snagging an awesome swing for Baby #2, but I also found a great new Bumbo with the tray attached and a fun Magnadoodle for Ethan (the latter of which was three bucks. Three bucks!).

The volunteers were all very friendly and helpful. We had some nasty weather (tornado watch!) this afternoon down in South Florida, so there was a lot of waiting around for the weather to clear up. The volunteers kept the item holds neat and organized the entire time. There was no chaos at all, even though my husband was texting me to let me know they were losing power and the weather was pretty scary outside. Once it cleared up, I had help from the Lolliposh staff carrying the swing out to my car and loading it for me, even though it had started to rain again. The bulk of the shoppers were pregnant or brand new mommies and having that extra help was so appreciated. (One baby even hung out in an exersaucer while he waited for the rain to clear up with his mommy!)

In addition to the great items for sale, there were also great vendors lined up along the sides of the gymnasium. Mama Roo's Soothing Care had some great items to browse -- and yummy cupcakes and cookies to snack on! There was also a table to enter to win a trip to Hawk's Cay, courtesy of Macaroni Kid and Lolliposh!

South Floridian mommies or mommies-to-be, make sure you check out the Lolliposh spring sale! If you can't make it this time, the good news is they'll be back again for a fall sale! I'm already looking forward to checking out the fall sale and one day signing on as a consigner. (Check out all the consigner benefits, too!)

Stay up to date with upcoming Lolliposh events by also following along on Facebook, too!

  1. Our sale like this is going on now too! They are great, although I talked myself out of going this year because I always find so much I like and end up in trouble (with myself) for buying so much, haha!!

Haha! I can definitely see that happening. It was definitely an exercise in good self control. The only thing I let myself go back and buy was the Magnadoodle, and it was three bucks! I thought I deserved an award.
