For Me, This Is Heaven - Jimmy Eat World

On Friday, we received a call that Ethan got to receive a complimentary in-home photoshoot from Our365, the photography company who took his birth photographs in the hospital! For me, a free photoshoot was nearly as exciting as winning the lottery. We (okay, I) set up the session for this morning and I knew right off the bat he'd be wearing his adorable octopus outfit from Growing Up Wild (have you ordered something yet?!). Ethan slept 7 1/2 hours last night and was all charged and ready to go when the photographer (who was so nice, might I add) arrived. He's basically a natural superstar.

Towards the end of the session, he decided he was done flashing those brooding eyes and modeling for the camera. When he is done, oh boy, he is done. Aside from the unrelenting case of the waterworks at the end of the shoot, he was such a good sport. Like I said, a natural superstar. In two weeks, we get to see the photos and I am beyond excited. He looks like such a big boy in the sneak previews the photographer showed us on her camera and I can't believe he's the same baby who was once so tiny and new, posing in his Independent onesie and sideways beanie for Our365's hospital photographer on the second day following his birth. Has anyone figured out how to stop time yet?


We wrapped up the day with a batch of these muffins, except with gluten-free all-purpose flour. The smell of the pureed strawberries that permeated through the house was delicious while it lasted.
